Save Us

Before you start thinking, just let me clarify.............

This post is definitely about artists of Raghurajpur in Orissa.

So here is the deal, I have always remembered the incident of my grandmother buying spinach, from the wizened lady, coming to our lane, directly from the her small farm. She was an old woman, having her farm near to our city. Amma used to say that she was the one with the most convenient rates and the most fresh spinach.

I have given this reference to you just to introduce the concept of removing unnecessary barriers from the process of Production and Sales.

Farmers are suffering because of middlemen, so are the artists..........

Its not like all of the middlemen need to be slayed(of course I am joking, not a murderer), but there need to be a process of direct confrontation.
Sometimes it is being hindered because it saves time, as the buyer will not be interested in wasting his time for futile works(as in case of literary agents), but for those artists who are now proficient in their art, there is no need of a middlemen.

But they still exist, why?

Because they know where to sale,
They know where the best market is,
They know who will bargain less and who will more
They take all the transportation and other non artistic and business related efforts to themselves.

Saving Artists is not only a process of saving them but also saving us, where we really can become self sustainable in every effort..........

I mean take this in life how much easy it will be, if we do not need anybody else to accept us, to have a confirmation of what we do is right :)
